Permit process note
The department (formerly the Pueblo Regional Building Department, renamed in January 2026) issues permits and licenses contractors for the City of Pueblo and Town of Boone. Permits outside Pueblo city limits are handled by the Pueblo County Building Division. Roofing licenses require a passing ICC test.
